About Laurens

Dr. Laurens Steed is an Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Cincinnati’s Lindner College of Business. She also holds the John and Gloria Goering Professorship for Family and Private Business. She received her PhD and BSM from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA.


She studies employee well-being and the psychology of money. Her work has been published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Personnel Psychology, and Harvard Business Review. At UC, she teaches Organizational Behavior and Negotiations (undergrad and MBA). Outside of academia, you can find her hanging out with her family and cheering on the Bengals, Bearcats and Yellow Jackets.
